Back to Courtauld Institute of Art: Projects
The Institute’s Research Forum is a dynamic programme of research activities intent on deepening the research culture of the Institute and strengthening relations between the Courtauld and colleagues in London-area (and other UK) universities, museums, and conservation laboratories; and more generally serving the field from its unique position as a bridge between scholars and colleague institutions in North America and Continental Europe.
The programme for 2004-2005 will include the Frank Davis series of public lectures on the theme of Boundaries, whilst a Spring Lecture Friends series will be dedicated to Artists on Film: The Nature of the Evidence. The Research Forum will also host a series entitled Talking Points where contrasted artworks will be debated by pairs of speakers. Upcoming conferences include Entente Cordiale: cent ans de relations culturelles franco-britanniques, European Trade in Painters’ Materials to 1700, and Architecture Around the Year 1300.
