Preserving our European heritage

Dr Marianne Odlyha, a Birkbeck expert in conservation techniques, is collaborating with seven key European partners, including Hampton Court Palace’s Textile Conservation Studio, on a European Commission funded project: Monitoring of Damage in Historic Tapestries (MODHT). MODHT is an interdisciplinary project involving the collaboration of conservators and conservation scientists who work with major tapestry collections and analytical and textile chemists.
