Following on from our first seminar held at Birkbeck on 12 May, you are cordially invited to 'Working with HE to develop digital capacity in Visual Arts organisations. Seminar 2'

This event is the final seminar of our ACE London supported Digital Knowledge Research, Workshop and Support Programme. The programme is geared towards assisting Visual Arts RFOs to build up their knowledge about and capacity to develop future relationships with the HE sector and, in turn, help to support and build digital capacity and infrastructure within the Visual Arts. Seminar 2 will provide:

  • An overview of the research report, Developing Digital Priorities: Visual Arts Organisations and Higher Education Collaboration by Dr Michael McKinnie and Louisa Pearson (Drama Department at QMUL)
  • A series of presentations from individuals from visual arts organisations who have successfully developed research relationships with HEIs
  • Peer-led workshops focussing on key issues emerging from the programme
  • Speed networking for arts organisations wishing to work with academics and vice verse.

Presenters include: Dr Michael McKinnie and Louisa Pearson (Drama Department, QMUL), Bobby Baker (Performance Artist and Research Fellow, QMUL), Bronac Ferran (Writer, researcher, event curator and pt Senior Tutor RCA), Graham Harwood (Artist and Goldsmiths, UoL), Laura Sillars (FACT), Jo Joelson (London Fieldworks) Irene Revell (Electra Productions) and Giles Lane (Proboscis). Invited: Angus Carlyle (CRISAP at LCC).
